External switch support on SimpleHW SimpleIndustry

SimpleIndustry now also sends events triggered by 2 external switches connected to SimpleIndustry. The new events include: On, Off, Short circuit and open error status on both switches A and B. The external switch status can also be added to the appended mask via downlink.

Base station data available in Android app

Sigfox operators may enable sending duplicates on Advance data callback and then see base station ID and RSSI in every message generated by Data advance callback. Today we have added this feature to Android app:

Added support for Connected Ranger, WiFi based tracker

We added support for wifi tracker from Connected Inventions. Due to Connected Ranger’s robustness, it is a perfect long term solution for demanding tracking conditions. The installation of the device is an extremely simple procedure and requires neither special tools nor configuration operation. Connected Ranger is easy to attach to any kind of surface using screws or zip-ties. Long battery life and affordable price guarantee low life cycle costs for the device.

Display base station ID with RSSI to analyze possible coverage issues

Sigfox operators may enable sending duplicates on Advance data callback and then see base station ID and RSSI in every message generated by Data advance callback like this:

Indoor localization with custom access points names

We have enhanced our database with MAC addresses by custom access point name. Now we can import CSV file with MAC address, latitude/longitude, and custom name of this access point. Once your device sends the MAC address that is in this DB, we show you not only the location in the map but also the name of the access point based on the strongest signal, so you can easily find the subject very in complex, multi-floor building.

Support for an external switch on devices from SimpleHW

We have added support for data from external switches A and B that can be sent by SimplePack 3 and newer, SimpleIndustry / SimpleMeter if supported by a specific device model.
You can add data from switch A and switch B via downlink on Heartbeat 1, Heartbeat 2, and all messages that supports appended data.
Data from external switch (ON/OFF) then will be available on the main dashboard and in charts.

UX improvements in Connectivity management

New form layout comes with much better clarity, better space utilization, and visualization. The prices are now being displayed without VAT in connectivity management and also in new device registration wizard because many international partners buy in reverse charge mode without VAT.
