Transition to IO Frog 2.0 is scheduled on Sunday, June 28th
If everything goes to plan, from next Monday, June 29th, you should enjoy the new version of IO Frog 2.0. It is the biggest release we have ever done. Our goal was to build a supersolid foundation for the massive industry scaling and utilisation of IoT in a vast array of scenarios. We will host a webinar this Friday to give you a sneak preview. Don’t hesitate and register for the webinar now.
New features include:
- Devices are organized into groups
- All groups are in one tree-like structure
- User can create own sub-groups
- Users have specific access to groups. The access is defined by user permissions and roles.
- Categories are transformed into Tags
- Microservices are now Forwardings/webhooks with the improved user interface
- Tag, Geoplaces, Rules, Public Channels, and Forwardings (formally Microservices) are moved from user level to group level and thus are available for all devices in a group.
- New Notification rules
- Multiple recipients
- Message templates
- You identify recipients of push notifications by their email (multiple allowed) so, only these users will receive push notifications.
- Conditions using boolean AND/OR logic and all data from the message
- Invitation of new users to the selected group
- Updated API documentation in standard Open API 3.0 format

To deliver all these features and migrate the system, it is necessary to temporarily suspend IO Frog services. The migration will take a short time and the migration window is from 9pm CEST time on Sunday, June 28th until midnight. We strive to make the transformation for you as smooth as possible and we do apologize if everything is not 100% perfect right after the migration.
