“Guide.”
Tags are here to help you organize a large number of devices.
Basically, Tags can be used as a segregation feature of devices into groups based on the manufacturer or purpose of the device.
Tags will also help you to filter devices on the Main dashboard.
Step 1
To get to the “Tag” settings, click on “Group management“.
Step 2
Then select “Tags” tab and you are there.
Step 3
Once you get yourself located in tab “Tags“, enter the “Tag name” and choose the color for this tag by simply popping up the color menu.
Step 4
Now you get to choose devices that are going to be part of this tag. Simply find and check the device you want and confirm the selection.
Based upon your preference, the tag can be created only for the currently targeted user group or by checking the button “Including subgroups” also for the entire structure of the group.
Step 5
When all devices selected, click the “Add/update” button, and a new tag will be added to the tag overview below.
Tags can be edit anytime later by simply clicking the “Pen” icon called “Edit” or remove by clicking the “Bin” icon called “Delete“.
Tags usage
Tags become really handy as a filter option on the Main dashboard.
As an example, we can use the tag that we just created called “House“. Go to the Main dashboard and use the filter option “Tags“, select “House” and click the search button. Only devices allocated to this group will appear on the Main dashboard.
