“Guide.”
Public channels are a great feature for sharing your devices with other people without the need of having an account in IO Frog. Simply create a new Public channel, copy the specific URL and share it!
Step 1
In order to use Public channels select the group, you want to work with and go to “Group management“, tab “Public channels“.
Step 2
To create a new Public channel, fill in the name and description of the channel.
Step 3
Next, you get to choose devices that will belong to this Public channel. You can check the option “Publish all devices in” your current group or un-check this option and simply go through the list of devices as showcased in this example.
Step 4
Once done, confirm your selection by clicking the button “Add/Update“.
The Public channel can be edit anytime later by simply clicking the “Pen” icon called “Edit” or remove by clicking the “Bin” icon called “Delete“.
Public channels usage
After the successful creation of the Public channel, it will appear in the table overview below with a URL that can be shared with anyone even without having an IO Frog account.
As per the example, you can see the view of the Public channel that we created in this guide. We added 4 devices that are now shown on the map, each with a data overview of the device that can be extended for more details after clicking the arrow at the top right corner of the device.
