Monitor Me

DeviceSimplePack 1.4 and newer or SimplePack Plus
ManufacturerSimpleHW
Use casesMeasures any vibration within predefined time slots and after 11 slots sends the message. Suitable to monitor running hours of any bridge, engine, car, animal. Or put under a chair and monitor office space usage.

After departure delay (arming) detection starts. Arming can be reported (API5). A movement is detected each second (can be increased in API 5) . Each detected movement increases the counter from 0 to 255, e.g. number 200 means that the movement was detected in 200 samplings from 255, or in another words, the vibrations were detected in 78% (= 200/255) of 4 min 15 seconds interval (=255 seconds in default setup). There are 11 counters in every message, so the message contains 11 numbers, representing 2805 (= 255×11) measurements. If at least one movement is detected within 2805 sampling interval (default is 2805 secs which equals 46 minutes) the whole record with 11 counters is sent within one message. If no movement detected nothing is sent. Sensitivity can be adjusted. The time window in API5 is flowing so the first sample is always a movement.

Recommended subscription planSILVER+ (50 uplinks/1 downlink) will be sufficient in most cases. If you need changing device setup more frequently or send more messages, we recommend more flexible subscription plan like GOLD+ or PLATINUM+.

Limits on number of messages are checked against monthly average.

Specific settingsFor this device mode, you can set:

  • On/off LED diode (for energy savings)
  • Force/keep operational status (arm/disarm)
  • Remote device update on heartbeat
  • Heartbeat period [hours]
  • Message departure delay [seconds] – time after arming, when movement is not detected. This lets you finish manipulation after arming device by button press.
  • Movement sensitivity
  • Downlink period [hours] – device will ask for downlink when “uplink messages counter“ reaches this value. After that, this cycle repeats from beginning.
ActivationFirst, complete registration of your device at I/O Frog and then activate SimplePack using extra long press (about 10s). LED diode starts rapid blinking. When blinking stops, device is activated and connected to network.

If you change any device parameter in application, this new setup has to be also transferred to device. Application itself cannot force device to download new settings, only the device can initiate it. After updating new parameters, please, update your device by extra long press (about 10s) or via heartbeat forced downlink. Successful loading is confirmed by LED diode for several seconds.

After activation or mode change, arm your device by pressing the button or you can force arming with downlink (using force/keep operational status parameter).

Alerts
Device send these messages via I/O Frog:

  • Arming
  • Vibrations logged
  • Device setting confirmed / failed
  • Heartbeat
  • GEO location (in case it is included in your subscription plan)
DeactivationUsing a switch on device dashboard followed by downlink (extra long press (about 10s) or forced by heartbeat).
