Custom map introduction
Custom maps offer a great opportunity to import different layouts of houses, factories, buildings e.g. with the possibility to deploy devices on it. On top, a new dashboard “Facility monitoring” has been added in order to show custom maps with satisfying graphics.
Step 1 – Map select
In order to use a custom map go to “Group management“, tab “Custom map” and then select the group you want to work with. The map needs to be uploaded here and must have a file format one of this kind PNG or JPG.
If the map no longer needed, you can remove it by clicking the “Bin” icon on it.
NOTE: More maps can be placed under one group.
Step 2 – Device deployment
Once the map uploaded, click on it to open the options for further updates and device deployment.
On the left, type the name of the map as well as the floor.
On the right, there is a column with all devices assigned to this group which you can deploy on the map as you like. Simply select the device and click on the map where the device is located. The device ID will appear on the map and you can repeat the same step until all devices deployed. Then click the button “Update“.
NOTE: Make sure that all devices you want to deploy on the map are assigned to the group you work with. If not sure how to move devices, please follow the Group management guide.
Step 3 – Facility monitoring dashboard
When all the above is done, click on the Facility monitoring dashboard. The map you just uploaded will display with all deployed devices. To display details of each device you can click on it on the map and it pops up a table with all measured values.
The column on the right-side displays all measured quantities from all devices.
Based on the key (Temperature, Avg. Temperature, Humidity, Min. humidity, e.g.) 3 measured values are displayed representing:
- Blue – minimal measured value
- Green – average measured value
- Pink – maximum measured value
